The Minister of Sports, Borko Ristovski, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Pance Toshkovski, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two ministries today, confirming the mutual commitment and interest in promoting the already excellent cooperation to an even higher level.
This Memorandum of Cooperation concerns matters of mutual interest based on the use of expert-scientific, professional, material-technical and spatial conditions aimed at promoting educational, research and application activities.
The Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the Memorandum, deepen the cooperation that includes: mutual exchange of information, knowledge and experiences in areas of mutual interest; expert, scientific and technical support in preparing expert analyses; consultative activities; formation of expert teams for the preparation of scientific-research and application projects; involvement in project activities of mutual interest; organizing joint projects and other scientific and research activities, conferences, forums, symposiums, seminars, workshops, summer schools; taking care of the existing and expanding sports infrastructure through the construction of new sports facilities; modernizing the approach for the systemic complementation of sports within the Macedonian police, as well as supporting the employment of athletes in the police.
The two ministers emphasized that sports and physical fitness are directly related to the successful performance of police officers’ tasks, and thus maintaining the safety of citizens.
