Minister of Sports Borko Ristovski received recognition from the European Athletics Association and the Athletics Federation of Macedonia for his dedication to sports and support of athletics.
The European recognition was presented to Minister Ristovski by the President of the European Athletics Association (EAA), Dobromir Karamarinov, at a ceremonial ceremony within the framework of the EAA Convention held in Skopje.
– With particular honor and pride, I received the recognitions from the European Athletics Association and the Athletics Federation of Macedonia for their unreserved support of athletics. Gratitude to the President of the European Athletics Association, Dobromir Karamanov, and to the President of the Athletics Federation of Macedonia, Aleksandra Vojneska Zikova, who recognized a true partner in the Ministry of Sports. These awards are proof of the joint work, efforts and vision for a better future of Macedonian athletics. As Minister of Sports, I will always be on the side of the athletes and will advocate for the strengthening and affirmation of sports in the Republic of Macedonia – emphasized Ristovski.
The Ministry of Sports is the general patron of the European Athletics Association Convention taking place in Skopje from 22 to 24 November.
Within the framework of this important athletics event, which Macedonia is hosting for the first time, the prestigious event “Golden Tracks Skopje 2024” will be held tomorrow at the National Opera and Ballet, where the awards will be presented to the most successful athletes in European athletics. The special guest of the event will be the President of the World Athletics Association and former member of the British Parliament, Lord Sebastian Coe.
